Your chalet
From our point of view, a summer in the Allgäu Alps is like a fairy tale or a story that you write yourself and that people will talk about for a long time to come. In summer, the Alps and managed huts high up in the mountains are also open. A mountain tour in pristine nature not only grounds you, but also allows you to forget the stresses of everyday life and discover new, beautiful things in harmony with nature. Have you ever set your alarm clock and experienced the sunrise on a mountain? Or enjoyed a good glass of wine or beer by the mill pond right outside your chalet or vacation apartment after a beautiful summer's day? We promise you unforgettable moments to suit your taste in our Allgäu chalet village.

Lakes near the chalet
Free entry to the Burgberg natural swimming pool for all our chalet village guests! The beautiful Burgberg natural swimming pool is just a stone's throw from your chalet. As we love water and summer just as much as our guests, we grant all Alpzitt guests free entry every day. Water fun guaranteed and a perfect way to cool off after a great day in the mountains. If you like, you can of course also swim a few lengths early in the morning or in the evening. You can do everything, you don't have to, because: Life is too short for anytime.

HIKING in the Allgäu
You can go hiking to do sport, but also to find yourself, to enjoy the little things along the way or to enjoy a regional snack and homemade cakes in a wonderful natural idyll. Time to be, without a lot of frills. We are truly an Eldorado for walkers, hikers and mountaineers. There are beautiful tours of all levels of difficulty with little difference in altitude (also suitable for baby carriages) and sporty half-day and day tours. We are happy to advise you daily at the Alpzitt.

Mountain railroads and lifts
Alpzitt summer treat for our guests: Our guests travel free of charge on the Ofterschwang-Gunzesried cable cars and the Hörnerbahn Bolsterlang cable car in summer.
Other mountain railroads and peaks are also waiting for you. Up high without any effort. From the lift you can enjoy the panorama and arrive at the top completely relaxed. This leaves you more time and energy for an extended hike or a delicious meal in one of the many alpine and mountain huts. You can then return to the valley on foot or comfortably by train. Here are a few ideas:
Bergbahnen Ofterschwang-Gunzesried
Germany's longest year-round summer sled run
Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal mountain railroads

Cycling in the Allgäu
Grab one of our rental bikes or hire an e-bike from our cycling partner in Sonthofen.
How about a 4-star Allgäu cycle tour? That's right, a cycle tour can also be awarded 4 stars. Explore the impressive nature of the Allgäu, Germany's most popular cycling region (ADFC 2020), on almost 500 kilometers. Be right in the middle of it all and discover the stories and faces of the region up close. And don't just cycle in a straight line from A to B, but always connect the end of the route with the beginning - only the Allgäu Cycle Tour can do that. Its extensive network of paths with uniform signposting, its different altitude profiles for all ages, its own e-bike region and many other quality features make the cycle route a 4**** ADFC quality route. It can be ridden in 9 variants - and each one is breathtaking in its own way. From easy to challenging.

Golfing in the Allgäu
