From our perspective, a summer in the Allgäu Alps is comparable to a fairy tale or a story that you write yourself and share a long time to come. In summer the alps and staffed huts high in the mountains are also open. A mountain tour in pristine nature not only grounds us, but also lets us forget everyday stress and discover new, beautiful things in harmony with nature. Have you ever set your alarm clock and experienced the sunrise on a mountain? Or enjoyed a good glass of wine or beer at the mill pond, directly in front of your chalet or vacation apartment, after a beautiful summer day? We promise you unforgettable moments, just the way you like it in our Allgäu chalet village.
LAKES NEAR THE CHALET
Free entrance to the natural swimming pool Burgberg for all our chalet village guests! Just a stone's throw away from your chalet, lies the beautiful natural swimming pool Burgberg. Since we love the water and the summer just as much as our guests, we grant all Alpzitt guests free admission every day. Water fun guaranteed and a perfect way to cool off after a great day in the mountains. Of course, if you want, you can also swim a few lanes early in the morning or in the evening. Everything is possible, nothing is a must, because: Life is too short to wait for the perfect day.
HIKING IN THE ALLGAEU
You can hike for sport, but also be with yourself, to enjoy the little things along the way or to enjoy a regional snack and homemade cakes in the most beautiful natural. Time to be, without a lot of frills. We are truly an Eldorado for walkers, hikers and mountain climbers. On all levels of difficulty there are beautiful tours with little differences in altitude (suitable for strollers) and sporty half-day and day tours. We will be happy to provide daily suggestions in our Alpzitt.
Mountain railroads and lifts
Alpzitt summer special for our guests: At the mountain railroads Ofterschwang-Gunzesried as well as the Hörnerbahn Bolsterlang our guests ride for free all summer.
Other mountain railroads and summits are also waiting for you. Go higher without any effort. From the lift you can enjoy the panoramic views and arrive relaxed at the peak. Then you have more time and energy for a long hike or a delicious meal in one of the many alpine and mountain huts. Then it's back to the valley on foot or again comfortably by train. CYCLING IN THE ALLGAEU

Explore the impressive nature of Allgäu, Germany's most popular cycling region (ADFC 2020), of almost 500 kilometers. Be right in the middle of it and discover the stories and faces of the region up close. Don't just ride from A to B, but always connect the end of the route with the beginning – The Radrunde Allgäu can do just that. Its´ extensive network of paths with uniform sign posting, its´ different altitude profiles for all ages, its´ own e-bike region and many other quality features make the Radrunde a 4**** ADFC quality route. It can be ridden in 9 variations - and each one is breathtaking in its´ own way. From easy to challenging, there is something for everyone.
