Naturbad Burgberg
Two minutes' walk from the chalet village, you can experience top-class leisure activities on more than 20,000 square meters. The natural swimming pool in Burgberg with its unique water landscape and views of the Allgäu Alps invites you to relax and linger.

Starzlach Gorge
The Starzlach rises between Grünten and Wertacher Hörnle at 1070 m. This small river and numerous other rivulets are the creators of the Starzlachklamm gorge. The Starzlachklamm gorge is the ideal starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours as well as many other beautiful nature experiences.

Ore mines Burgberg
Even the ride on the Erzgrubenbähnle train from Burgberg up to the museum village is a great first experience! There you will learn a lot about the highly interesting geology of the Grünten and the Allgäu, iron ore mining in past centuries, smelting and the traditional art of blacksmithing. As a highlight, immerse yourself in the underground world of experience - in the "interior" of the Grünten!

Alpsee mountains

Highline 179
The Highline179 is a pedestrian suspension bridge in the form of a rope bridge over the B 179 Fernpass road south of Reutte in Tyrol (Austria). It extends at a height of 113 to 114 m over the Ehrenberg castle world and connects the Ehrenberg ruins with Fort Claudia. The location of the bridge was chosen so that, with a span of 406 m, it was one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world at the time of its completion. It makes it easier to visit the two castle ruins and, with around 200,000 bridge visitors a year, is a tourist attraction in its own right for the municipality of Reutte.

Breitach Gorge
The Breitachklamm gorge between Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal is the deepest and one of the most beautiful rocky gorges in Central Europe and connects Germany with Austria. A breathtaking nature experience.

Ski flying hill
The Heini-Klopfer ski jump is located south of Oberstdorf in Stillachtal, in the immediate vicinity of Freibergsee. Visitors can take the inclined elevator next to the take-off slope and learn about the history and great heroes at the foot of the tower.

Neuschwanstein Castle
The first plans and preparations for the construction of Neuschwanstein Castle were made by King Ludwig II in 1867/1868. The foundation stone was laid on September 5, 1869. Shortly after his mysterious death, Neuschwanstein Castle was opened to visitors and over the years has become the "landmark of Germany" or the "eighth wonder of the world" for many.
