In addition to its indescribable number of winter sports activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, skiing or snowshoeing, the Allgäu winter is also a very traditional and mystical time of year here in the chalet village. Customs such as the "Klausentreiben" on December 6th, the "Rauhnächte" between the years or the "Funkenfeuer" also make winter a very special time of year for the Allgäu people.

Experience the contemplative pre-Christmas atmosphere in our festively decorated chalet village. Glittering lights and a cozy atmosphere invite you to unwind. Look forward to:
- Christmas tree sale for a good cause
- Fire bowl romance for a cozy atmosphere.
- Culinary delights! Mulled wine, traditional "Laible" (cookies), Christmas snacks and freshly roasted chestnuts.
- On all Saturdays before Christmas from 1 - 5 pm
Spend some atmospheric hours with us and let's share the anticipation of the Christ Child together.
Winter sports
Ski resorts nearby
Tranquil family ski areas, state-of-the-art mountain railroads and 2-country ski areas. Ski enthusiasts will find everything they want here. Ski enthusiasts will find the best cable cars in the immediate vicinity (also open in summer). We present our most important ski areas below. Of course, you can also obtain up-to-date information at reception or in your suitpads in the chalets.
Cross-country skiing from the chalet
Cross-country skiing is probably one of the healthiest winter sports. You'll find great cross-country ski trail entrances directly from the chalet village. Of course, you can also do your laps like the pros in the cross-country stadium in Oberstdorf or treat yourself to a private skating course. Take time for the things that are otherwise neglected in everyday life. Your body and mind will thank you for it. Because life is too short for anytime.
Winter hiking in the Allgäu
Kilometers of cleared paths between trees and under mountains. Right outside the chalet door you will find numerous walking trails, which are also cleared in winter. We can recommend great winter hiking tours or snowshoe hikes on site. You can also hire snowshoes from us. We have put together a few winter hiking trails for you below.
Sledging in the Allgäu
Grab your sled and have an exciting experience in the great outdoors - sledging in the Allgäu. Because it's not just children who enjoy sledging. Sledging on long natural runs is a special highlight here in the Allgäu. You will be offered fun, breathtaking panoramic views and refreshment stops where you can warm up again with a hut punch. You can hire sleds from us at the Alpzitt free of charge (use at your own risk!)
